Concession and Assignment Agreement

Generation Licence
Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA), the government’s sector regulator issued this licence to Eskom Uganda Limited in 2002. It allows Eskom Uganda Limited to generate hydroelectricity at Nalubaale and Kiira stations. It also details the terms and conditions that Eskom Uganda Limited must abode by.
Water Permit
Eskom Uganda Limited operates under a Water Permit issued by Directorate of Water Development (DWD) in Ministry of Water and Environment to ensure that Eskom Uganda Limited adheres to agreed terms and conditions as issued by the Directorate of Water Development.
Support Agreements
This was signed in 2002 between Eskom Uganda Limited and the Government of Uganda. This agreement stipulated specific guidelines to ensure that Eskom Uganda Limited adheres to agreed terms and conditions. Government of Uganda agreed to support Eskom Uganda Limited through its performance of its obligations design, insure, rehabilitate, operate and maintain the Nalubaale and Kiira Power stations
