On 6th May 2022, Eskom Uganda marked 6 years (2191) days without Lost Time Injury (LTI) to its contractors. The last incident occurred on 6th May 2016 when a worker slid and fell off the cliff during landscaping activities at the premises, sustaining injuries. He however recovered and resumed work. Eskom has continued to ensure that Zero Harm befalls its employees and contractors through its SHEQ policy which ensures that safety and health are an integral part of our operations. At Eskom we believe that no operating condition, or urgency of service, justifies exposing anyone to risks causing injury or endangering their life.
