This Act provides for the use, protection and management of water resources and supply; provides for the constitution of water and sewerage authorities; and facilitates the devolution of water supply and sewerage undertakings. The objectives of the Act are to promote the rational management and use of the waters of Uganda, to promote the provision of a clean, safe and sufficient supply of water for domestic purposes to all persons among others.
