Eskom Uganda Limited (EUL) has a diverse portfolio of investments in initiatives that are aimed at improving the health, education, sports and environment of small communities across Uganda.
These “shared value” initiatives as we now call it, is way broader than the traditional description of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which largely is hinged on social investment popularly known as ‘giving back to society’.
Three of our core strategic objectives are also hinged on the shared value; that’s to say; - effective talent ad people management, effective stakeholder and reputation management and enhanced risk and environment management.
Our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programmes are informed by the identified prevailing social needs of the communities around us and the government’s prioritized social concerns in the National Development plan. Our CSI are in line with the current UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
